TalkTalk transfers 13,500 broadband customers to Telecom Acquisitions Group
Telecom Acquisitions Group (TAL), the Horsham-based holding company behind a number of well-known retail broadband brands including Home Telecom and Eclipse Broadband, has welcomed a further 13,500 broadband customers from TalkTalk. The customers have transferred over recent months to Fleur Telecom, one of the group’s UK internet service providers.
The customers originally joined TalkTalk through a range of channels over the years, including Origin Broadband and Utility Warehouse.
TalkTalk (PXC) is one of the largest wholesale suppliers to the UK broadband industry. With equipment in around 2,900 BT exchanges, it offers one of the most extensive networks in the UK alongside BT, making it a natural wholesale partner for many new residential broadband providers.
As in any industry, not every new provider succeeds, and some choose to change direction. That is where TAL steps in. Because the transfer between TalkTalk and TAL is simply an internal account change, customers experience no loss of service. TAL keeps the existing brand running and diverts customers’ telephone numbers and email addresses, and in most cases their payment arrangements stay the same. TAL has worked in the same way with other network operators over the years, including CityFibre, Cable & Wireless (now Vodafone), MS3 and Full Fibre.
From 1 September 2026, all 13,500 customers will keep their existing pricing, terms and conditions, and TalkTalk has notified each of them directly. After the transfer, they will be supported by TAL’s UK-based service centre, which offers 24-hour support and also looks after the group’s Home Telecom brand. Every customer will also have access to a mobile app to help them manage their account.
TAL is well placed across the market, offering services from all of the traditional network suppliers alongside layer 2 and layer 3 connections with the majority of UK altnets. The group has now grown to more than 80,000 customers, with projected turnover of around £36 million in 2027, and plans to continue this growth through organic expansion and further acquisitions as opportunities arise.
